Montevideo covers an area of 131.3 sq. miles (340 square Km) and is estimated to have a population of 1.5 million people being the largest city, capital and chief port of Uruguay. Montevideo is the primate city in Uruguay, the only city in the country with a population over 1,000,000.

Mercado de los Artesanos

m3.jpgUruguay (not only Montevideo) has high quality crafts. All kind stuff can be found ins several craft markets, but I do recommend Mercado de los Artesanos (Artisans Market). Uruguay (no solamente Montevideo) tiene artesanÍas de alta calidad. Este tipo de objetos se puede adquirir en diversos mercados, pero yo recomiendo el Mercado de los Artesanos.
